Directions

The Smoky Mountain Scottish Festival and Games is held at the Townsend Visitor Center, 7906 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy.,Townsend, TN 37882. Townsend is located along US 321 southeast of Maryville. Townsend has its own entrance into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and is the nearest city to Cades Cove. The SMSFG venue is just 45 minutes from downtown Knoxville, and 30 minutes from the airport; It’s easy to get here and get around!

Official Parking

$5 per car

On-site parking supports the Townsend Volunteer Fire Department through a $5 charge per car per day. The cost covers the full day and includes come and go parking. Volunteers from the fire department manage the on-site parking. The official entrance gate for on-site parking is east of the Townsend Visitor’s Center off of US 321.
Accessible parking is available for those with state-issued placards or license plates. 

Courtesy carts move throughout the parking area to transport guests to the Admission Gate. However, the number of carts is limited and wait times may be necessary.

IMPORTANT! Please be aware that local businesses not associated with the Smoky Mountain Scottish Festival and Games may offer off-site parking. Most of these are within walking distance of the SMSFG but are not as close as the official on-site parking, nor do they offer courtesy carts to the venue admission gate.
